It’s hard to believe that October is over! With the close of Voodoo Festival this past weekend in New Orleans, we’ve officially completed the 2017 #ToyotaGiving festival run. For the past seven months we’ve been part of music festivals from coast to coast spreading the love of music and the joy of giving back.
Along with VH1 Save The Music Foundation, we’ve been to seven different music festivals including Stagecoach, Country 500, Firefly, Ruidofest, Lollapalooza, Life is Beautiful and Voodoo to raise awareness about the importance of music education and asking festivalgoers and artists to share what music means to them. At each festival we completed a different mosaic filled in with photos taken by you and shared on social media with the #ToyotaGiving. Artists such as Lil Yachty, Tegan and Sara, Dillon Francis, The Zombies and more have also share with us what music means to them!
Toyota and VH1 Save The Music Foundation join representatives of Life is Beautiful Festival and Clark County School District to present $40K toward three schools in Las Vegas as part of the #ToyotaGiving campaign.
At a spirited school-wide assembly held at Ed W. Clark High School on Thursday, September 21, we joined forces with VH1 Save The Music and Life is Beautiful to award a $40,000 music education grant to further music programs and fund new instruments. The event was especially memorable as Las Vegas natives, Imagine Dragons, surprised the schools with an inspiring performance of some of their popular songs while students and teachers danced and sang along.

We also supported VH1 Save The Music Foundation at their 20th Anniversary Gala in New York and presented DJ Khaled, a noted philanthropist and long-time champion of music education, our first ever Toyota Giving Award!
It’s been such a fun and inspiring year supporting a cause and organization we care about, especially as they celebrate their 20th Anniversary, and we are incredibly grateful to all the artists and festival attendees who shared with us what music means to them.
Until next year!
